      <description>Título: Brincando terecô: corpo, experiência e pertencimento das crianças no Terreiro Nossa Senhora Santana
Autor: MARQUES, Ana Silvia Oliveira
Primeiro orientador: SOUSA, Emilene Leite de
Abstract: This study analyzed how the experiences that traverse children’s bodies in the Terreiro&#xD;
Nossa Senhora Santana produce religious and ethno-racial belonging, based on an&#xD;
anthropological approach that articulated childhood studies, ethnography, and debates&#xD;
on coloniality and ethnic-racial relations. The study aimed to understand how children’s&#xD;
bodily experiences in the Terreiro Nossa Senhora Santana produce religious and&#xD;
ethno-racial belonging, considering their relationships with spiritual entities and their&#xD;
everyday experiences in the terreiro. The research adopted ethnography as its&#xD;
methodology, employing techniques such as participant observation, focus groups, as&#xD;
well as drawings and photographs produced by the children themselves. The results&#xD;
indicated that children actively participate in the everyday life of the terreiro, producing&#xD;
bodily and religious knowledge (Rufino, 2019) through experience, establishing&#xD;
spiritual kinship ties with the enchanted beings (Haraway, 2021; Ahlert, 2021), and&#xD;
articulating relationships with peers and adults in the constitution of community bonds.&#xD;
It is also observed – drawing on debates on Black identity (Munanga, 1999) and the&#xD;
coloniality of power (Quijano, 2005) – that the terreiro constitutes a pedagogical,&#xD;
affective, and political space in which children construct positive meanings about&#xD;
themselves and develop everyday strategies to confront religious racism. The study&#xD;
concludes that children’s belonging in Terecô is produced in a relational, collective,&#xD;
and situated manner through bodily experiences that intersect spirituality, ancestry,&#xD;
and collectivity, contributing to the expansion of debates on childhoods, Afro-Brazilian&#xD;
religiosities, and the production of alternative epistemologies.

Abstract: This study addresses teacher unionism, specifically the representations and expectations of &#xD;
teachers in Imperatriz, Maranhão, regarding the experiences of Sinproesemma in the state's &#xD;
second-largest city. From this perspective, this research aims to sociologically understand the &#xD;
perceptions of Maranhão's education workers in relation to unions and their place in the &#xD;
contemporary social world. To achieve this objective, exploratory and descriptive research was &#xD;
used, based on Minayo (1994), and the methodological instruments included direct observation, &#xD;
the sending of Google Forms questionnaires, and interviews with state school teachers working &#xD;
in the city. The text describes the methodological path adopted for the development of the &#xD;
research. The first chapter explores the arguments of classic and contemporary authors in &#xD;
Sociology, identifying narratives about mobilizations, workers' experiences in their demands &#xD;
for rights, and the formation of the first unions. In this initial stage, we mobilized the &#xD;
contributions of authors such as Marx (2013), Engels (2010), Giddens (2008), and Antunes &#xD;
(1998). In the second chapter, we analyzed the history of teacher unionism, identifying its &#xD;
trajectory in Brazil, in Maranhão, and in Imperatriz, at which point we analyzed the trajectory &#xD;
of Sinproesemma in the city. At this point, the contributions of Brussio (2015) and Fortes (2018) &#xD;
were significant. In the third chapter, we proceeded with the analysis of the empirical data &#xD;
obtained through the application of the forms and interviews, highlighting an ambiguous field &#xD;
regarding mobilizations, teacher engagement, and alignment between government and union. &#xD;
The results indicate that, although the union is recognized as a legitimate instrument of &#xD;
representation, its performance faces limitations that impact the participation and engagement &#xD;
of teachers, pointing to the need for a redirection in the strategies of union actions.

      <title>“Queira nos valer Senhora”: representações de Maria para as mulheres da tenda de umbanda Nossa Senhora da Conceição em Imperatriz-MA</title>

      <description>Título: “Queira nos valer Senhora”: representações de Maria para as mulheres da tenda de umbanda Nossa Senhora da Conceição em Imperatriz-MA
Autor: LIMA, Polyana Almeida Frota
Primeiro orientador: VERAS, Rogério de Carvalho
Abstract: The present work proposes the study of Afro-Brazilian religions (Umbanda) and has as a guiding question: &#xD;
what are the representations of Mary (Our Lady) for the women of the Tent of Umbanda Nossa Senhora da &#xD;
Conceição in Imperatriz-MA and how they operationalize these representations. To this end, the following &#xD;
theoretical framework was used: Reginaldo Prandi (1996; 1998; 2011), Sérgio Ferretti (2005), Mundicarmo &#xD;
Ferretti (1996), Kabengele Munanga (2019), to talk about Afro-Brazilian religions in their historicity, as &#xD;
well as Quijano (2005), with the category of decoloniality to critically treat the colonial process and James &#xD;
Scott (2013), who helps me to think about the category "modes of resistance" looking at syncretism as a &#xD;
way of subverting these religions. From the perspective of gender, race and ancestry, the discussion &#xD;
mobilizes authors such as: Patrícia Hill Collins (2016; 2019), Lélia Gonzalez (2020), Suely Carneiro (2019) &#xD;
and María Lugones (2014), as well as Rosinalda Simoni (2019), Hélen Jardim and Dulce Voss (2022). &#xD;
When it comes to the hagiographic and mythological part we have Prandi (2001a; 2001b) and Pierre Verger &#xD;
(1981). To arrive at the representations, I bring as a theoretical contribution Roger Chartier (2002), Émile &#xD;
Durkheim (1986) and  Magnani (2004). Methodologically this work relies on ethnographyc research, which &#xD;
I &#xD;
did participant observation, use of the field diary, photographs, application of semi-structured &#xD;
questionnaire and also the use of whatsapp. The interlocutors are seven women of which one is the &#xD;
mother of the Tent and the other six are mediums of the house. The centrality of women in ceremonies, &#xD;
manual and spiritual work around the festivals, and in the social dimension is conclusive. This protagonism &#xD;
that occurs within Tenda and beyond comes from the perceptions of affection and care that these women &#xD;
have regarding Mary. She is a mother, protector and helper in needs, but her representations go beyond this &#xD;
scope. Mary becomes an inspiration and resistance for these women and for Tenda, at the same time that &#xD;
she is the one who “helps us”. It is possible to see that this dimension spreads from there to Tenda’s social &#xD;
projects.

      <title>“TEM MULHER QUE VOLTA, TEM MULHER QUE SOME”: A ATUAÇÃO DA CASA DA MULHER MARANHENSE NO COMBATE À VIOLÊNCIA DOMÉSTICA</title>

Abstract: This research is part of the debate on public policies to combat domestic violence against women and&#xD;
the tensions between their normative promises and concrete implementation in state services. By&#xD;
investigating the Maranhense Women's House in Imperatriz, Maranhão, it asks whether and how this&#xD;
service promotes women's human rights and contributes to breaking the cycle of violence, considering&#xD;
the obstacles of an unequal socioeconomic context and a justice system that often revictimizes its&#xD;
users. The objective of the study is to understand the institutional dynamics that shape the House's&#xD;
activities, based on gender, race, and class divisions. The research adopts an ethnographic method,&#xD;
combined with documentary analysis, focusing on the psychosocial sector's service records for the&#xD;
year 2023. The findings reveal that, although the House is a strategic space for reception and referral,&#xD;
its operation is hampered by structural gaps, bureaucratic routines, and barriers to access. The&#xD;
theoretical and practical implications point to the need to reconfigure public policies based on situated&#xD;
and intersectional listening. The theoretical contribution is based on Saffioti (2015), Federici (2017),&#xD;
and Gonzalez (2020), who understand violence as a structural phenomenon, functional to patriarchy&#xD;
and capitalism. In addition, Crenshaw (2002) and Collins (2016) are mobilized as fundamental&#xD;
references for understanding intersectionality as an analytical lens that highlights inequality in access&#xD;
to rights. Dialogues with Gago (2020) and Pasinato (2011) allow us to problematize the effects of the&#xD;
institutionalization of the feminist agenda in care practices. This is an original study that contributes&#xD;
to the field of sociological, feminist, and public policy studies by shedding light on the impasses and&#xD;
potential of a state service in combating domestic violence against women in a city marked by&#xD;
inequalities.
